MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - after a pretty hot Friday, things began to turn for the worse.

Friday begins quite soft and warm to about 27 degrees in the afternoon, things will be fine for those who commute to work.

And then things start to change. Just before midnight, it begins to snow, temperatures will begin the abandonment and the wind will start to blow.

WCCO-TV meteorologist Chris Shaffer noted that high fall below zero for the first time this season on Sunday morning and be up to about 15 Saturday. We should bottom out around of-7 degrees.

The winds will be strong Saturday to Sunday morning from the 15-25 mph North. What will it be envy-25 to-35 degrees on Sunday morning.

"What we know with certainty is the direct path of the storm, which will have a significant impact on our snow totals" said Shaffer. "The models currently estimate anywhere from 5-11 inches here in the twin cities."

It will be a light and fluffy snow which will be easily blow around our wind conditions on Saturday. Wait visibility reduced, along with blowing and drifting snow, so be careful on the roads.

Wind settle Sunday and we may see some Sun, but will warm to 3 degrees. We stay cool until Wednesday, when warm us in the twenties.
