MINNEAPOLIS - The New York Giants could really getting sick and tired of travel in Minnesota now.

A quirk of programming provided seven of these meetings - this year would be three in a row - Minnesota Vikings and the Giants are supposed to play Sunday for the ninth time in the last 10 regular season.

With more than a foot of blowing snow fall in the area of Twin Cities Saturday, Giants Charter flight was forced landing of Kansas City, instead of this. The team moved to spend the night with a plan in place to fly and Minnesota on Sunday morning and go to stage in time for the scheduled launch at 1 p.m. (et).

Spokesman Greg Aiello said in an e-mail on Saturday evening the game would be transferred if the conditions in the twin cities also delayed journey with Giants NFL.

"We continue to closely monitor the weather in Minneapolis and stay in regular contact with clubs and public security, local authorities" says Aiello. "We will continue to do so and are willing to make adjustments as necessary planning."

According to the spokesman of Giants Pat Hanlon on Twitter, the team was scheduled for a 6 a.m. Sunday in Kansas City, followed by a flight of 8 hours and an arrival of 9 hours in Minneapolis CSE's wakeup call.

Clear conditions airport is less than 20 minutes from downtown, where the Vikings play in the comfort of climate controlled the Metrodome, now known as the commercial centre of Field player. If the plan is currently and roads are passable, the Giants should have time to go through their normal pre-game preparation and routine.

"If Minneapolis conditions dictate otherwise, drop us kick off later in the day and he announce as soon as we have information," Aiello said. "" "" Pay us special attention to local conditions and be aware of the fan security problems and to make the final decision ordering convenience. »

Hanlon says on Twitter team "monitored weather during the week" and moved up to the time of departure from Saturday 3 1/2 hours. Which did not prove sufficiently in advance to make it in Minneapolis before closing all airport runways. Between 12 and 18 inch has been accumulating in the Twin Cities area, and the winds were gusts over 30 mph overnight.

The Vikings are not exactly enjoying a free weekend of hassle, or simply because they were at home. Most players live in the suburbs near practice facilities and team offices, approximately 20 minutes drive from the Metrodome without heavy traffic conditions difficult and they still had to make it to the hotel from the city centre where they stay the night before the games.

Attacking left Bryant McKinnie announced its plan to be cautious on Twitter just after 6 p.m., local time: "title 2 Hotel, giving me a 2 hour 2 window makes it n this time".

Viking quarter Brett Favre strives to make its 298th right, beginning with a sprained shoulder that lift NFL record difficult. It is listed as doubtful to play the Giants.

Viking (5-7) beat the Giants (8-4) four straight times.
