Federal Government meet at RI to discuss the (Yahoo!) offshore wind

BRISTOL, told representatives of Rhode Island and Massachusetts that cooperation is essential that States are trying to develop all the offshore wind R.I.—A federal regulatory agency.

Ned Farquhar, who works at the u.s. Department of the Interior, met with officials at Roger Williams University, Bristol.

It welcomed the States for their agreement joint implementation of wind turbines in a section of square 400 miles of Rhode Island. The region is bordered by Block Island, RI, on one end and Martha s Vineyard, Massachusetts on the other.

Two developers, depth, wind and Neptune Wind, asked to build it. Neptune offers a 120 wind turbines and Deepwater aims to build a 200 turbines.

The meeting, the Ministry of Interior released details on its project assessment and permits. Farquhar said allowing peut four or five years.
